Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic musician, singer and actor. He combines soul gospel jazz and R&B in a distinct mixture. From Broadway to European music festivals and clubs Sunshine has performed everywhere. Her real name is Denise White. She is now a resident of Atlanta her birthplace was Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical journey began in the church, where she sang as well as performed piano. The musical journey began for her in Atlanta while attending Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was called Stalk You a house 12 issued only in Japan It has since been remixed by many producers and remains a staple in her live show. The singer has also provided her singing to The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. She was named the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's musical Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who was part of the stage production Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, approached her to serve as the choir leader of the production. Sunshine became the focus of interest during four consecutive performances during the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at the Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
