Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American businesswoman for more than twenty years. She is the owner of control of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently acts as the association's president. Buss is a native of California was raised with an impressive background. Jerry Buss, her father was a businessman in the field of real estate and later was the owner of Lakers Sports and Entertainment. Their relationship ended in 1972, which caused her to feel like she was left behind. When she was 19, she began working within the family's company. Then, she established the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. She served as the president of the Great Western Forum, before becoming Vice President of the Lakers. Her father died in 2013, and the ownership for the Lakers was passed on to Buss and her five siblings by a trust of the family that gave each sibling an equal vote. she assumed the duties as the president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss was also a owner of a portion of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling group).
